The Fiscal Year 2026 budget projects enrollment at 181,091 students. 

• Average for General Education: $18,098 per student

  • PreK and Early Head Start: $19,216 per student

  • Elementary School Program: $18,238 per student

  • Middle School Program: $17,485 per student

  • High School Program: $18,168 per student

• Average for Special Education: $33,275 per student

According to EducationData.org the average across all grades in the State of Virginia is $17,100.
